International Union for Health Promotion and Education
19th World Conference on Health Promotion and Health Education:
Health Promotion Comes of Age: Science, Policy & Practice for
the 21st Century.
A goal of the conference will be to review, reassess and determine
the relevance of the Ottawa Charter in the 21st Century. The conference
will address questions such as: Does the Charter need updating with
new principles and action strategies? What have we learned from
the results of the actions set out in the Charter? What would enhance
the ability of health promotion advocates to implement the Charter's
original principles? How could theory (especially political theory)
help to further the implementation of the Charter?
Dates: 11-15 June 2007
