Welcome Back to the Sydney School of Public Health
Professor Glenn Salkeld, Head of School
The Sydney School of Public Health now has over 2700 graduates. At our inaugural Public Health Alumni cocktail evening in December 2007 I had the privilege to meet some of our Alumni, spanning graduation dates from 1947 through each decade to the present day. I was struck by how many of our graduates had and continue to occupy leadership roles in public health. Roles that influence the way in which the full spectrum of public health activities, from the delivery of interventions and services, research and evaluation, policy development and advocacy, delivers better health for our population. Many of our alumni are now in positions where they can provide career advice and mentorship to the next generation of public health graduates and contribute directly to our teaching programs.
We would like you, our alumnus, to be part of our community and help us in our mission to bring high quality evidence-based public health research, teaching and policy development to improving the health of the world’s population.
